The Bicycle Club at USF will be hosting a ride from the USF Tampa campus to Flatwoods Park for the Bicycle Bash Classic on Sunday, November 7. Previously called the “Bicycle Bash by the Bay”, this yearly event brings all aspects of bicycling culture and commerce together for one day to celebrate everything amazing about bicycling.
We will be meeting up at the softball fields on the corner of Sycamore and Holly in the north-east side of campus and leaving around 9:30 am. The ride will be fairly slow and welcoming for newer cyclists, so we should arrive at Flatwoods around 10:30.
Be sure to bring a water bottle (you will become dehydrated more easily than you think), lights (the return ride back to campus will probably happen after dark because of the time change), and a helmet (just to be on the safe side). If you do not already own a bicycle, we recommend the Campus Recreation “Borrow Our Bikes” program.
If you have any questions about the ride or the event, feel free to contact Jessica or me for more information.
There will be a Bicycle Club meeting this Wednesday at 7pm. The meeting place will be the circular breezeway in the middle of the field between the Contemporary Art Museum and the Environmental Sciences Building. A major topic for discussion will be the Bicycle Bash on November 7!
